Founding and Fundraising
The Addison Park District Parks and Recreation Foundation was founded on June 18, 2003, as a not-for-profit organization.
The Foundation has successfully sponsored fundraising events, including golf outings, Scotch Double Candlelight bowling events, a family night miniature golf adventure and the longest drive competition at the Links & Tees golf dome.
Scholarships and Recognition
Proceeds from these events are used to provide funding for the Addison Park District scholarship program that supports needy individuals and families residing in the district who wish to participate in park district program activities. Additionally, the Foundation supports and recognizes the contributions of the many volunteers and alumni staff who are currently or who have in years past supported or managed park district programs.
The Addison Park and Recreation Foundation is a proud member of the National Association of Park Foundations.
