Initiatives

Parks and the enjoyment of the park experience should be for everyone.  The Addison Park and Recreation Foundation has identified a need to make our parks more inclusive for our physically and mentally challenged populations.

The Addison Park and Recreation Foundation is dedicating 2019 fund raising efforts toward the purchase and installation of at least one Expression Swing by GameTime.  

Through the Swing 4 EveryBODY initiative, a program developed by the National Association of Park Foundations, the Addison Park and Recreation Foundation has been awarded as the first recipient of the National Association of Park Foundations "grant assist" program which will provide the last 10% of the funding needed (up to $1500) to complete the purchase of one Expression Swing. 

The Addison Park and Recreation Foundation anticipates to install this swing in the playground at Centennial Park in Addison - directly outside of the offices of Northeast DuPage Special Rec. Agency.
